UK King\'s Daughters is seeking a Patient Engagement Representative Associate to join our Access Center in Ashland, KY. This entry-level role provides scheduling, registration, and routine patient support with HIPAA compliance.

You will handle inquiries by phone, email, or electronic systems, verify demographics and insurance information, document interactions, and escalate complex issues to supervisors as needed. Hybrid eligible with approval.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of experience in medical coding, health information management, or related healthcare role is acceptable.
• Ability to handle confidential information and follow HIPAA guidelines.
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Responds to routine patient inquiries via phone, email, or electronic systems using established scripts.
• Schedules standard appointments and procedures based on protocols.
• Verifies patient demographics and basic insurance information for accuracy.
• Completes initial registration steps in electronic systems.
• Transcribes referrals and collaborates with referring providers to verify information.
• Documents patient interactions in contact center systems.
• Escalates complex inquiries to senior representatives or supervisors.
