Job summary

Tactile Medical, a pioneer in at-home therapy devices, seeks a Patient Education Consultant to train and demonstrate our products to patients in their area. You will guide use, discuss insurance and payments, and ensure patients can operate the device as prescribed.

Demonstrations are in person, trainings may be telehealth or in person. Required are a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 2+ years in patient-facing education or customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a patient facing, education/training and/or highly advanced customer service role.
• Health related certification is preferred.
• Medical device or healthcare industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate patient and/or caregiver in device use and protocols.
• Schedule and complete trainings and demonstrations with patients.
• Explain patient financial responsibilities and finalize sales.
• Provide clear verbal instructions during demonstrations and adapt to patient needs.
• Handle patient feedback and questions; coordinate with internal teams.
• Prepare for trainings with equipment, documents, and supplies.
• Review and submit required paperwork with patient.
• Collaborate with territory partners to facilitate orders and insurance requirements.
• Identify and escalate patient support needs to appropriate departments.
• Use translation tools when English is not first language.
• Meet or exceed performance expectations; maintain HIPAA compliance.
