Job summary

Tactile Medical is seeking a Patient Education Consultant to demonstrate and train patients on our home therapy devices. You will introduce the product, discuss financing and insurance, and ensure patients can use the device as prescribed.

Training may occur in-person or via telehealth, with HIPAA compliance and documentation required. Extensive travel within the assigned territory is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years in patient-facing education/training and/or highly advanced customer service role.
• Health-related certification preferred; medical device or healthcare industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate patient and caregiver in device use, including donning and doffing garments, controller use, protocol, and starting a therapy session.
• Schedule and complete trainings and demonstrations with patients.
• Explain financial responsibilities, insurance coverage, and finalize the sale.
• Provide clear verbal instruction during demonstrations or trainings; tailor to patient needs.
• Manage patient feedback or objections regarding product, finances, and paperwork.
• Prepare for trainings or demonstrations with all equipment, supplies, and documentation.
• Review and submit required paperwork with patient; answer questions.
• Collaborate with territory partners to facilitate orders and require signatures as needed.
• Identify and escalate problems or questions to appropriate department.
• Use translation tools for non-English speakers.
• Meet or exceed performance expectations.
• Maintain HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
• Travel up to 80% within assigned territory.
• Other duties as assigned.
