Yale NewHaven Health is seeking a Food Service/Administrative Dietary Aide to support nutritional care for patients. The role involves collecting dietary information, guiding patients on meal choices, and coordinating with food service and nursing staff to ensure accurate diet orders.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, prior food service or dietary aide experience, and familiarity with special diets and computer systems.

Qualificações

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Experience as a food service worker or administrative dietary aide preferred.
• Licensure: N/A.
• Computer skills and knowledge of instructional techniques and special diets preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Interviews patients to obtain nutritional information and acquaint patients with the food and nutrition delivery system.
• Assists patients in making food choices according to meal plans and therapeutic diet orders.
• Processes diet orders, menus and directives related to patient care accurately and timely.
• Circulates on assigned patient care floors during meals and observes patient food intake.
• Communicates pertinent nutritional information to food service and nursing staff in a timely fashion.
• Meets performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, and staff development.
• Performs other duties to ensure smooth operation of the department.
