Job summary

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, dietary restrictions, or cultural preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection, retrieving trays at scheduled times.
• Complies with regulatory standards and HIPAA privacy policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining cleanliness.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on restricted or specific diets.
