Job summary

HHS is seeking a Patient Ambassador at Jackson Purchase Medical Center to assist patients with menu selection and meal delivery. You will support the dietary team, ensuring meals match orders and dietary requirements while delivering friendly, excellent service.

The role requires teamwork, reliability, and willingness to work 12-hour shifts. Prior culinary experience is preferred but not required, with comprehensive safety policies in place.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare).

Responsibilities

• Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service for all patients.
• Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner.
• Prepare cold/hot items and condiments for meal times.
• Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
