Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) is seeking a dependable patient meal service associate to support call center communications and in-room menu assistance. You will answer calls, explain diet options, guide patients in menu selections, and ensure timely delivery of meals to nursing units.

Responsibilities include preparing floor stock sheets, rotating stock, maintaining HACCP records, and coordinating with the Dietitian and Food Service Manager to meet patient dietary needs.

Qualifications

• Some High School required. Vocational or Technical training in Nutrition preferred.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers; ability to navigate web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Answers and processes telephone calls in a polite and courteous manner in the Call Center.
• Explains diet and assists patient with appropriate selections; assist patients in their rooms when needed.
• Prepares the patients bedside table for meal delivery and ensures accurate menu changes.
• Delivers meals to patients and coordinates with nursing units.
• Maintains floor stock sheets and rotates stock; keeps kitchens clean and organized.
• Complies with HACCP and formulary room standards.
