Job summary

Cullman Regional is seeking a hospital dietary support role to help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements. You will work with caregivers and culinary staff to determine alternatives for allergies and sensitivities, and prepare accurate tray tickets for timely service.

In this role, you will assist dietitians with patients on special diets, maintain a clean working environment, and participate in department meetings

Qualifications

• Six to twelve months' experience in food service and sanitation knowledge.
• Knowledge of recipe execution and sanitation management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and ensure orders meet nutritional needs.
• Coordinate with caregivers and culinary team on menu alternatives.
• Assemble meals and manage tray tickets accurately.
• Assist dietitians with patients on special diets.
• Communicate issues to appropriate personnel and maintain reports.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment.
• Attend department meetings and participate in staff development.
• Uphold patient safety and quality standards.
