Job summary

Optim-Healthcare seeks a Food Services Ambassador to deliver meals to patients and ensure meals meet dietary requirements while delivering excellent service. You will help enhance the patient experience during their stay and support the dietary staff.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment, and a willingness to lift up to 25–30 pounds. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in food service, hospitality, or healthcare is a plus.
• Basic understanding of dietary restrictions (e.g., low sodium, diabetic diets).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and snacks to patients in a timely and courteous manner.
• Verify patient identity and ensure meals match prescribed dietary restrictions.
• Assist patients with menu selections in accordance with physician-ordered diets.
• Communicate patient needs, concerns, or food preferences to dietary staff.
• Set up meal trays and assist patients with opening containers or basic needs.
• Document meal delivery and patient intake as required.
