Job summary

Our Lady of Consolation, part of Catholic Health, seeks a Culinary Ambassador to support the dietary team in delivering excellent food service to residents and patients.

You will follow dietary orders, engage with patients professionally, perform routine kitchen tasks, and maintain sanitation across work areas. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to safety standards in a care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food service experience preferred; job training will be provided.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Ability to measure and mix cleaning agents and chemicals.
• Good motor skills and manual dexterity for preparing food items, serving trays, handling soiled dishes, operating dietary equipment, and cleaning work area.
• Flexibility to work varied hours to accommodate changes due to cultural change implementations.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow dietary extensions, orders, restrictions, and food consistencies per tray cards and work assignments.
• Engage with patients and residents in a respectful and professional manner.
• Perform defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Manager.
• Perform cleaning procedures and keep area and equipment in sanitary condition.
