Job summary

MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking a Nutrition Services Clerk to enhance patient and family satisfaction by collecting and recording food selections and ensuring meals align with prescribed diets.

You will work closely with Clinical Nutrition and the IDT to meet nutrition needs, while delivering meals and maintaining high customer service standards. This full-time role supports MercyOne's mission and values in a health-system setting.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and understand English and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to follow diets and coordinate with care team.

Responsibilities

• Assists in assuring patients receive food according to prescribed diets.
• Maintains excellent customer relations, displaying a professional image.
• Offers appropriate food suggestions to patients in order to meet their needs/preferences.
• Reports concerns to RD's, Nurse managers, and other team members.
• Inputs patient's meal preference/menu choices.
• Delivers room service trays and late trays within target delivery time.
