Valley Health System in Paramus, NJ seeks a Dietary Aide to enter patient diet selections, assist with meal choices, and deliver trays. You will explain diet information to patients and families while coordinating with the Food & Nutrition department for accurate service.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and at least 1 year of hospital meal service experience. English fluency and strong customer service are essential in a day shift position.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills.
• One year previous experience as a Dietary Aide in a hospital food service or related healthcare setting.
• Ability to read, write and speak English including ability to read relatively small type on a computer screen. Good communication akills. Ability to pay attention to details while changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Must be comfortable speaking and interacting with patients and family members. Desire and ability to focus on customer service. Ability to learn and retain basic diet information.

Responsabilidades

• Enter patient selections in the hand held computer per diet orders and assist patients in meal selection.
• Provide tray delivery and nourishments to patients and stock supplies for nursing units.
• Act as liaison between patients and the Department of Food & Nutrition to ensure high quality customer service and accurate diet information.
