Schedule is full-time, 3 days a week, with rotating weekends and holidays. Qualifications include English literacy, basic computer and math skills, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing to ensure dietary restrictions are met.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to offer menu alternatives for allergies, preferences, or special diets.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and on time; retrieve trays from patient rooms at scheduled times.
• Complies with federal, state and JCAHO standards; maintains HIPAA confidentiality and patient rights policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning stations and breaking down trays.
• Follow facility infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on liquid diets or calorie-controlled plans.
• Communicate issues to the appropriate personnel promptly; complete required reports.
• Adhere to health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
