Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, part of Compass Group USA, is hiring a full-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at Baptist North Little Rock - 333 Springhill Drive, North Little Rock, AR 72117. The position supports patient meals, tray assembly, and timely service to patients during meals.

The schedule is 5:30 am to 1:30 pm with some variation. Prior patient dining experience is preferred, and training is provided. A positive, caring approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, or cultural/religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection; retrieve trays on time.
• Comply with applicable federal, state and JCAHO standards and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and keeping work stations clean.
• Follow infection control policies.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
