Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and handle carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand menu selections and work with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and cultural/religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient selections and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Comply with HIPAA and facility confidentiality policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for handling food and maintaining hygiene.
• Support dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate staff promptly.
• Complete required daily/weekly/monthly reports as directed.
