Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring immediately for full-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) positions at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT. Location: 50 Hospital Hill Road, Sharon, CT 06069. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:30 am to 7:00 pm with rotating weekends.

No previous experience required; fixed pay rate: $19.50 per hour. As part of the caregiving team, you will help patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, and ensure accuracy, timing,

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and cultural or religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays on time.
• Complies with regulatory standards including HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for handling food and maintaining sanitation.
• Assist dietitians with patients on special diets as needed.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports as required by Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Adhere to health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
