We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE DIETARY AIDE positions.

• Location: Nemours Children Hospital - 1600 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE 19803. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time and part-time shifts. Days may vary, 3:30 pm - 8:30 pm and 11:00 am - 7:00 pm. Must be able to work every other weekend. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: No experience necessary. Willing to train!

• Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They are vital to patient safety and satisfaction, ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu choices, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
• Coordinate with nursing and culinary teams to accommodate allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and promptly.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and follow infection control policies.
• Support dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets or with specific nutritional needs.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding patient concerns.
• Complete required reports and maintain sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
