Unidine - Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide)

Unidine is hiring immediately for full-time Patient Dining Associate - Dietary Aide positions at Adena, located at 272 Hospital Road, Chillicothe, OH 45601. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time with variable availability preferred. Hours are 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend; specific days and times will be discussed during the interview.

Requirements: Previous food service experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay Range: $15.00 to $22.00 per hour

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and collecting meal trays. They are part of the caregiving team, ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and meet safety and satisfaction standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with menu choices and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
  • Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, or cultural preferences.
  • Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and promptly.
  • Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO standards, including HIPAA policies.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines and infection control procedures.
  • Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets.
  • Report problems or concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Complete required reports as per policies.
  • Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
