We are hiring immediately for full time and part time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/DIETARY AIDE positions.

Location: WakeMed Raleigh - 3000 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27610. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time and part time; Monday through Friday, hours may vary. Rotating weekends and holidays. Details provided upon interview.

Requirement: Prior food service or customer service experience required.

Pay Range: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They are key to patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist patients in understanding their menu options and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
2. Collaborate with culinary and caregiving teams to accommodate allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
3. Manage tray tickets, assemble meals, and retrieve trays in a timely manner.
4. Comply with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and maintain confidentiality.
5. Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and cleanliness.
6. Support dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets.
7. Communicate patient concerns promptly to appropriate staff.
8. Complete required reports and adhere to sanitation regulations.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food delivery carts.
