Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, part of Compass Group, is hiring for Patient Dining Associates (Dietary Aide) at Mayo Clinic Phoenix. Roles include serving on assigned units, helping patients with menu selections, and ensuring meals meet nutritional requirements with timely delivery.

Positions are full-time and part-time with rotating weekends; benefits include health, retirement, and other programs. The role requires prior food service experience and ability to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies and preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection.
• Complies with regulator agency standards, including federal, state and JCAHO; adhere to HIPAA policies.
• Follows HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations and breaking down patient tray line.
• Follows facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on restricted diets.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel.
• Complete all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Performs other duties assigned.
