Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, or cultural/religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient menu selections and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Comply with federal, state and JCAHO standards and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining clean work stations.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on specific diets.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete required daily, weekly or monthly reports per Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Adhere to health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
