Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring a Part-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter, SC. You will assist patients with menu selections, assemble and deliver meals, and support the caregiving team to ensure accurate, timely service.

Previous healthcare food service experience is preferred but training is provided; a shift premium is offered, and the role involves lifting up to 100 pounds and maintaining sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, dietary restrictions, and cultural preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient selections and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Follow HIPAA, HACCP, and infection control policies.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets.
• Communicate issues to appropriate staff promptly.
• Complete daily/weekly/monthly reports as required.
