Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a dedicated Food Service Assistant to support patient meals and dietary needs. You will read patient menus, adjust selections to meet diet orders, and coordinate tray assembly and delivery to patient rooms.

The role requires at least six months of customer service or food service experience and familiarity with dietary restrictions to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. Weekend rotation is expected.

Develops menu tallies of special requests. Must be familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. Reacts accurately and effectively to all changes to ensure efficiency. Assembles trays for patients and deliver meal trays to patient rooms and nursing units. Occasionally, may also prepare salads, desserts, beverages and other miscellaneous food items.
