Job summary

Northside Hospital in Canton, GA is seeking a Dietary Aide to support patient meals and dietary needs. You will read and adjust patient menus, ensuring selections meet diet orders and restrictions, and coordinate with nursing units to maintain timely service.

You will assemble patient trays, deliver meals to rooms, and may assist with salads, desserts, beverages and other items as needed to support patient care and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service or food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for communications between nursing units and the Food Service Department regarding patient menus, diet changes, and general patient services.
• Reads patient menus to patients twice daily and edits selections to meet diet orders.
• Organizes and manages diet orders and develops menu tallies of special requests.
• Familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure patient care and satisfaction.
• Assembles trays for patients and delivers meal trays to patient rooms and nursing units; may prepare salads, desserts, beverages and other items.
