Job summary

Forefront is seeking a Culinary Services Aide to support our culinary department, ensuring meals are prepared and served in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. You will assist cooks, set up dining areas, and help maintain cleanliness and food service operations to safeguard resident safety.

The role requires adherence to infection control, safety regulations, and department policies, with opportunities for on-going training and departmental participation.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Chef Manager/Culinary Director.
• Assist the cook in the preparation and service of meals.
• Follow Federal and State regulations and Culinary Services Department policies and procedures.
• Follow cleaning schedules and perform cleaning duties as scheduled.
• Assist in arranging trays, loading food carts, and serving meals.
• Set up the dining room and serve residents.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Report needs for supplies and equipment.
• Attend in-service educational programs.
• Follow safety codes while performing all duties.
• Follow Infection Control procedures.
• Understand and follow the facility's fire and disaster plans during drills and emergencies.
• Be knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Facility rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Perform other department duties or special assignments as directed.
