Job summary

Forefront is seeking a Culinary Services Aide to perform daily routines in the culinary department, ensuring resident safety and compliance with federal, state, and local standards. You will assist cooks, set up dining areas, prepare trays, and help serve meals to residents in a care setting.

This role requires the ability to read, write, and speak English; previous institutional dietary service is preferred, and ServeSafe certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Previous institutional dietary service experience is preferred.
• ServeSafe certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform defined work routines using dietary utensils, supplies and equipment.
• Assist the cook in meal preparation and service.
• Follow federal/state regulations and policies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and duties.
• Assist in arranging trays, loading food carts, and serving meals.
• Set up dining room and serve residents.
• Wash and store dishes.
• Report supply and equipment needs as required.
• Attend in-service educational programs.
• Follow safety codes and infection control procedures.
• Know and follow fire and disaster plans; act during drills and emergencies.
• Adhere to all facility policies including HIPAA and human resources guidelines.
• Attend department meetings and pursue required certifications.
• Complete mandatory training annually.
