Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to offer suitable menu alternatives for allergies, preferences, and special diets.
• Assemble meals and retrieve trays, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to patients.
• Follow regulations and HIPAA, HACCP, and sanitation policies across the unit.
• Support dietitians in monitoring patients on restricted or specialized diets.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined by policies.
• Communicate issues to appropriate staff promptly and follow department procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
