Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking part-time Patient Dining Associates (Dietary Aide) at Cleveland Clinic - Mentor, OH. Shifts vary with some weekends/holidays; shift 11:00-7:00pm. Hospitality or customer service experience preferred; Dietary Aide experience a plus.

Job involves helping patients select meals, assembling and delivering trays, ensuring accuracy and timing while adhering to safety and HIPAA guidelines. Benefits available for eligible positions.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies and sensitivities, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences; accommodate additional selections when needed.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection and retrieve trays from patient rooms at scheduled times.
• Comply with federal, state and JCAHO standards; adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations and breaking down patient tray line.
• Follow facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets or liquid diet plans as required.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
