Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, part of Compass Group, seeks a full-time Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, AL. The role supports patient meal service, menu selections, and accurate tray assembly while upholding safety and sanitation standards. Rotating weekends, 6:30 am–6:30 pm, with a fixed pay rate of $14.25/hour.

Experience in food service is preferred but not required; opportunities to grow within a nationwide healthcare hospitality network are available.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Coordinate with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for dietary needs.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection in a timely and accurate manner.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and HIPAA policies while handling information.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining cleanliness of work areas.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on specific diets.
