Job summary

Anthem Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics seeks a friendly Patient Coordinator to join our team. You will greet patients, manage scheduling, and assist with financial conversations in a warm, child-centered setting.

You will work closely with the clinical team, verify insurance, maintain accurate records, and support a calm, organized front office. A high school diploma is required; pediatric dental experience is a plus, and strong customer service is essential.

Qualifications

  • Pediatric dental experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of dental insurance and billing processes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and families warmly at first contact.
  • Manage scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling.
  • Provide appointment reminders and confirm visits.
  • Answer calls and respond to questions professionally.
  • Register new patients and update demographic data.
  • Assist with check-in/check-out and patient flow.
  • Verify insurance information and answer questions.
  • Communicate treatment and appointment details clearly.
  • Coordinate with clinical team on patient needs.
  • Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records.
  • Assist with collecting payments and communicating financial info.
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming front office.
  • Support additional admin tasks as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Anthem Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is seeking a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Patient Coordinator to join our team. Our practice is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality pediatric dental and orthodontic care in a safe, welcoming environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping children and families feel comfortable and supported throughout their dental experience.

As a Patient Coordinator, you will play an important role in creating a positive experience for patients and families while supporting the daily operations of the practice. You will serve as a welcoming first point of contact, coordinate appointments, assist with patient communication and financial processes, and work closely with the clinical team to keep the practice running efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Greet patients and families in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner
  • Manage patient scheduling, including appointments, cancellations, and rescheduling
  • Confirm appointments and provide reminders to help maintain an efficient schedule
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to patient and parent questions professionally
  • Register new patients and maintain accurate demographic and patient information
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out while supporting efficient patient flow
  • Verify insurance information and assist patients and families with general insurance questions
  • Communicate treatment and appointment information clearly and accurately
  • Coordinate with the clinical team regarding patient needs, scheduling, and potential delays
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA requirements
  • Assist with collecting patient payments and communicating financial information as needed
  • Help create a calm, comfortable, and welcoming environment for children and families
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office and reception area
  • Support the team with additional administrative and front office responsibilities as needed
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare office preferred
  • Pediatric dental experience is a plus
  • Experience with dental practice management and scheduling software preferred
  • Knowledge of dental insurance and patient financial processes preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with children, parents, and caregivers
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach
