Job summary

Community Clinic in Fayetteville, AR is seeking a Front Desk Patient Coordinator for its Primary & Specialty Care location. This full-time float role covers travel to other Clinic locations as needed, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule and mileage reimbursements.

The ideal candidate greets patients, enters accurate EMR data, and assists with payments and scheduling while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds.
  • Ability to perform cash, check and credit card payment transactions with accuracy.
  • Ability to work and function independently and within a team.
  • Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office Software.
  • Ability to train, guide and monitor staff and new staff, act as a liaison for manager and assist with scheduling and coverage.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, families and medical staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional customer service during all aspects of a patient visit to Community Clinic.
  • Ensures patient information is entered into the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and updated regularly for all patients.
  • Ensures patient payments are collected, posted correctly to accounts and collections are balanced daily.
  • Coordinates with Patient Financial Services on required patient information in the EMR, payments and insurance inquiries.
  • Schedules patient appointments appropriately, based on patient needs, provider requests and approved scheduling guidelines.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment to ensure the professional appearance of the Clinic at all times.
  • Keeps management team informed of all activities and on goings in the medical clinic.
  • Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECK, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA.

Job Summary
