Job summary

Wilmington Health in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Patient Representative for Family Medicine (Porter's Neck) full-time. You will greet patients, check in/out, verify eligibility, schedule appointments, and coordinate care with the health care team.

Ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED; preferred experience in medical office administration and BLS/CPR certification; strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Medical Office Administration preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets, acknowledges and provides closure to all patient needs in a professional and efficient manner.
• Checks patients in and out following standard operating processes to include management of samples, notes, forms, scripts, directing patients, and triage sheets
• Schedules, coordinates and reschedules all patient appointments (includes office, outpatient procedures, hospitals, and other medical facilities)
• Answers incoming calls and takes necessary action
• Maintains provider schedules as directed by manager
• Keeps logs as required by Manager
• Attends department meetings as required by Manager (including training and re- education)
• Maintains inventory of office supplies and orders as needed
• Directs patients to contact Central Business Office for additional billing inquiries
• Assists Manager with other duties deemed necessary to achieve efficiency and a cohesive working environment
