R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative to help patients check into Ascension St. John Medical Center. You will be the first point of contact, answering questions during registration and collecting information with accuracy and empathy.

Ideal candidates are confident multi‑taskers who can quickly learn technology, type efficiently, and remain calm under pressure. Training is provided; previous healthcare experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with hospital registration and check-in processes.
• Answer questions and provide clear information to patients and families.
• Collect and input patient and insurance information accurately and efficiently.
• Handle phone inquiries and multi‑screen data entry in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide compassionate service, addressing fears and concerns of patients.
• Work with clinical staff to support smooth check‑in and patient flow.
