Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a fast-paced retail health environment. You will assist the pharmacist, perform data entry, adjudication, and dispensing steps, and ensure a safe, compliant, and friendly patient experience.

The role supports health initiatives, maintains licensure, and upholds HIPAA guidelines while contributing to a clean, inclusive store environment and accurate pricing. Training and coaching of clerks/technicians are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Completion of national registration, certification or licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in all responsibilities except those requiring a pharmacist's professional judgement.
• Provide customer experience while accurately completing reception, data entry, adjudication and product dispensing steps.
• Support coaching and training of clerks and/or technicians.
• Compound medications according to state regulations.
• Perform post-fill audits to verify prescription information matches computer records.
• Support non-dispensing services via platforms and applications.
• Comply with sanitation and safety regulations as per company and health codes.
• Report illegal activity when observed.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
