Job summary

South Florida Heart & Vascular in Jupiter, FL is seeking a dedicated Front Desk and Medical Assistant to support our cardiology team. You will handle scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, record maintenance, and basic clinical tasks in a fast-paced office.

This role requires compassionate patient care, attention to detail, and proficiency with our EHR (eClinicalWorks). Spanish is a plus, prior medical office experience preferred, and compensation varies by experience; benefits are not provided.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical procedures.
• Proficient with EHR (we use eClinicalWorks)
• Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Experience in medical administrative support roles preferred
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks performed

Responsibilities

• Perform medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
• Handle basic life support situations effectively
• Help with the front desk and scheduling and rescheduling appointments, check-in and check-out, check insurance eligibility, collect co-pays, scheduling procedures in the hospital and scheduling testing and procedures in the clinic
• Address patient's concerns/questions over the phone.
• Provide exceptional patient service and support during their visit
• Code and file medical records accurately
• Get EKG and vitals.
• Hook up holter monitors.
