Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum of therapy. The role includes evaluating and treating patients with collaboration from physicians and the care team.

You will also educate patients and families, coordinate care, and participate in plan-of-care development, including possible home visits, as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist must be active in state.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
• Assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status and participate in the development of the total plan of care.
• Provide purposeful and skilled therapeutic care at patient’s home, using procedures and techniques to produce a change in condition/function consistent with the physician’s plan of care.
• Instruct patient/family/caregiver in the use of therapies, exercises, therapeutic appliances, and/or prosthetic devices to be used outside of therapy sessions.
• Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs, and coordinate assignments/handoffs.
