Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta seeks a Nursing Support Technician (NST) to assist with personal care and to support inpatient nursing teams. The NST delivers age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care and participates in safety and advocacy activities.

The NST works under supervision of RNs, LPNs, and physicians, performing assigned tasks and contributing to quality improvement in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CNA or PCT certification.
• Completion of Basic Nursing Fundamentals course.
• Recent hospital experience and commitment to patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive personal care.
• Assist with activities of daily living and nourishment.
• Maintain a safe environment and communicate findings to nursing staff.
• Potentially cross-train as patient safety monitor or unit clerk.
