Job summary

WellSpan Health seeks a Medical Assistant to provide safe, therapeutic care in a fast-paced practice. You will collect vitals, assist with procedures, administer vaccines when qualified, manage patient flow, and document in the EHR.

Requires a high school diploma or GED; medical assistant training preferred; 1 year MA experience; BLS certification upon hire; strong communication and teamwork essential; competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience required.
• Coursework or certification in medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and documents patient visit reason and vital signs.
• Collects specimens as directed by provider and tracks to lab.
• Prepares patients for procedures and ensures proper setup and safety.
• Under supervision, administers vaccines and medications as prescribed.
• Documents prescription requests and refills per protocol.
• Manages EHR data entry and patient education documentation.
