Job summary

Upperline Health Inc is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for our primary care team in Brandon, FL. This on-site, full-time role supports in-office clinical duties and coordinated care beyond visits, including rooming patients, vitals, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and care coordination.

Ideal candidates have CMA certification, 2 years MA experience, and familiarity with EMR systems (AthenaHealth preferred).

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is required (documentation is requested during application prior to interview)
• Two (2) years MA experience preferred
• Primary care or outpatient clinic experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic pharmacology
• Experience with team-based care models
• Care coordination or case management experience preferred
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred
• EMR experience preferred; AthenaHealth ideal
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain medical history, vitals, and medications.
• Administer injections/immunizations and perform phlebotomy/sample collection.
• Conduct EKGs and point-of-care testing; assist with minor procedures.
• Coordinate referrals, follow-ups, and care gaps with the care team.
• Support chronic disease management and prior authorizations as needed.
• Assist with wound care and dressing changes.
