Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to provide clerical and data management support on the Patient Care Unit under the Charge Nurse. You will assist the RN with care plans and direct patient care tasks, while maintaining professional behavior and service excellence.

The role includes unit-based medical records duties and coordinating unit needs, with opportunities for career development within UHS and its subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Typing test completed prior to hire.
• Experience with medical terminology or Health Unit Coordinator training.
• Current BLS certification on hire.
• HWC and Verbal De-escalation training within 30 days.
• Must possess CNA certificate or EMT/medical assistant/nursing program credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and data management support for Patient Care Unit under RN supervision.
• Assist RN with age-appropriate care plan implementation and patient care tasks.
• Provide unit-based medical records duties and coordinate unit needs.
