Northwest Texas Healthcare System, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Unit Clerk to support the Patient Care Unit under the Charge Nurse. You will perform clerical tasks, manage medical records, and assist with direct patient care coordination alongside the RN.

The role requires a high school diploma, typing proficiency, and Health Unit Coordinator training, plus BLS upon hire. This on-site position emphasizes service excellence and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must read and write in English.
• Must communicate effectively with patients, families, staff and physicians.
• Must stay calm under stress and follow instructions from RN.
• Typing test completion required.
• Must complete HWC and verbal de-escalation within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide clerical and data management support for the Patient Care Unit under RN supervision.
• Assist with age-appropriate care plan implementation and environment safety.
• Handle unit-based medical records duties and coordinate unit needs.
