Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher required.
• Strong problem solving, oral and written communication skills; ability to follow directions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families, coordinate with clinicians and nurses for admissions, discharges and rounds.
• Answer and screen telephone calls; take messages and route to appropriate staff.
• Assist with nurse call system and message transfer; review physician orders and enter basic orders as directed.
• Maintain orderly unit clerk workstation and patient charts (electronic and paper) per hospital policy.
• Support clinicians in electronic medical record use and documentation workflows.
