Methodist McKinney Hospital in Texas is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to assist with patient care in the Inpatient Unit. The PCT performs delegated tasks, monitors vital signs, assists with mobility, and supports nursing staff as needed.

The role may include basic receptionist and clerical duties to help the nursing unit run smoothly. Requires current CNA or MA certification and 2+ years patient care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant certification required.
• Minimum of two years patient care experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Observes and reports patient status and needs.
• Answers call lights and attends to patient needs.
• Obtains specimens and transports to lab if necessary.
• Transfers, moves, repositions, and assists with ambulating patients.
• Monitors and records patient’s vital signs.
• Assists physicians and nurses during medical examination and treatment of the patient.
• Makes occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Maintains current knowledge and certification requirements.
• Attends all required safety training programs and understands safety responsibilities.
• Respects patients and maintains a professional, courteous environment.
