Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Maryview Medical Center in Virginia. This full-time position supports nurses by providing basic patient care, assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs and documenting care in the EHR.

The role includes afternoon and evening shifts and requires strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have a nursing aide background or related experience, BLS certification

Qualifications

• Recent experience in acute care, physician office, home health or long-term care is preferred.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred or ability to obtain prior to direct patient care.
• EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, personal hygiene, and mobility assistance.
• Reports changes and concerns to nurses to ensure patient safety.
• Delivers high-quality customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and promptly in the medical record.
• Participates in hand-offs and reports relevant patient information during shifts.
