Job summary

Responsibilities include vitals collection, meals and mobility assistance, hygiene, specimen collection, infection control, and documentation. CNA/CPCT preferred; BCLS within 90 days of hire is required.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in an acute care setting or currently enrolled in a Nursing program preferred.
• Healthy interpersonal communication and teamwork required.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a safe, organized environment.
• Collects and records vital signs, intake/output, and temperature; reports findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Supports patients with meals, bathing, grooming, linen changes, and mobility with walkers or wheelchairs.
• Assists with positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Performs basic specimen collection and point-of-care glucose monitoring; documents results.
• Maintains infection control practices and PPE usage.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and risk management reporting.
• May provide continuous observation of patients as required.
