Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist with basic patient care and comfort under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include vital signs, assistance with daily activities, and supporting nutrition needs.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to read/write, and basic math. BLS within 90 days of hire is required; CNA certification is preferred but not required.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math.
• Desire to help people and/or have aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional.
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Medical terminology (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CNA Certification preferred but not required upon hire.

Responsabilidades

• Take vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Assist with personal care and daily activities.
• Support RN with basic clinical procedures as trained.
• Assist with nutrition needs and order room service as needed.
• Report unusual observations to the nurse.
• Document intake and output accurately.
• Collect specimens for analysis when required.
