Boston Medical Center (BMC) is looking for a Patient Care Technician to join their Surgical Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. This position is crucial for providing high-quality patient care, requiring direct interaction with complex patients and a variety of medical tasks.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, current BLS certification, and potentially experience in a healthcare setting. The work involves performing essential patient care interventions and contributing to a supportive healthcare environment.
Position: Patient Care Technician – 40 hours per week (night shifts, evenings/out‑of‑week and weekends). Department: Surgical Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit (SNICU). The 28‑bed unit provides post‑operative care to BMC’s most complex patients in trauma, neurology, cardiac surgical, vascular surgery and general surgery.
As a Patient Care Technician in our Critical Care department, you will be a key member of the healthcare team at Boston Medical Center. Under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse (RN) and in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, protocols, and standards of practice, our Patient Care Technicians provide direct clinical and support services. Using our patient‑centered care model and supported by a nursing organization, you will participate in the delivery of care to patients and their families and work cooperatively with all healthcare team members to meet patient, family, and staff needs.
$23.19 – $27.17 per hour. This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
