Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health's Shore Rehabilitation Institute in Brick, NJ seeks a Patient Care Technician. The role supports patient care under RN supervision, assists with assessments, vitals, specimen collection, EKG/Phlebotomy as needed, and contributes to safe, compassionate care in a rehabilitation setting.

Minimum requirements include a nursing assistant or related program completion, and eligibility for PCT apprentice track; benefits include health, dental, vision, paid leave and tuition

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required or equivalent
Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant or PCT program or HMHPCT Apprenticeship
Ability to learn quickly, adapt to patient needs, and work as a team

Responsibilities

Provide patient care tailored to age and condition
Communicate with patients, nurses and health team about status and plans
Obtain vitals and basic measurements; document findings
Perform venipuncture and collect specimens as directed
Assist with procedures, admissions and discharge planning
Support safety, comfort and cleanliness of patient environment
