Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support a broad range of inpatient rehabilitation patients at Shore Rehabilitation Institute in Brick, NJ. You will assist with daily patient care, safeguarding comfort, safety and dignity under RN supervision and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a PCT/CNA/MA program or related training; AHA BLS certification within 60 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or GED equivalent.
• Certification/education as PCT, CNA, MA or related program; HMH PCT Apprenticeship option.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and strong teamwork and patient-focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age-appropriate criteria within the unit.
• Communicate with patients and nursing staff about patient status and care.
• Demonstrate safety and comfort measures; follow care plans from admission to discharge.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and performance improvement activities.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
