Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Inpatient General Pulmonary Unit at Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus. This full-time role offers 36 hours weekly with three 12-hour shifts from 7am to 7:30pm, including every third weekend and holiday rotation.

You will perform patient care tasks under RN supervision, requiring CPR certification and nursing assistant training or equivalent experience. Excellent teamwork and prioritization are essential.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required (American Heart Association)
• Nursing assistant training or 6 months of patient care experience or equivalent
• Completion of care Companion Course within six months if required by department
• Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, prioritization and ability to follow directions

Position Highlights:

• Location : Elmhurst Main Hospital Campus - 155 E. Brush Hill Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126
• Full-Time: 36 hours per week
• Hours :7am-7:30pm (three 12 hour shifts) with every 3rd weekend rotation and holiday track

What you will do:

The Patient Care Tech, under the directions of a Registered Nurse (RN) and, according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for the care, comfort and safety of patients.

What you will need:

• Education: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association
• Experience: Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
• Successful completion of care Companion Course within six months of hire when course is required by the department.
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions.
